He was created by by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger for Detective Comics (DC) issue #27 in May of 1939, and quickly progressed to his own comic, followed by a 1940s serials, a 1966 tv shows, and ongoing movies since the late 1980s. Batman is gradually taking over the world.
