I have nothing fresh to show, and not a lot of older stuff saved. Big thing for me is artistic blocks, I seldom start and even more rarely finish. In a mood lately to try to kickstart something. Few things in mind, we'll see.
Hell, how do I post images? Let's see if this works...
(edit, no, that wasn't it...)

There, that's better. I'm not a computer arts guy, it's rough.

I can honestly say I don't know a single song of his besides the one Marty McFly gave him in Back to the Future, "Johnny B. Goode".
Still, I listen to a lot of classic rock from the 70s, and I know those guys where bigtime influenced by the blues and rock stuff from old timey (black) performers from before that. It's the end of yet another era, I suppose.
His last album was 38 years ago? 1979? And he's got a new one coming out this fall.

It's kind of a genre in itself. Something not good enough to make it theatrical? Or is it all about low budgets? Or runtime? Some of these things run so long, they have to be cut up into 2, 3, or even more parts. I guess mini-series can count, if it's short enough.

This year, we're getting T2:3D! I'd love to see that in theaters.
In the past, I've been fortunate enough to see The Wizard of Oz 3D, The Shining, and Halloween '78 in theaters. I guess I'd always wanted to see Rocky Horror in theaters too, with the sing-a-long nonsense and whatnot...

As an 80's kid who happens to be a lifelong Horror fan, I always loved those Friday The 13th and Elm Street movies, and had them all rented before I even reached my teen years. A decade or so later, after hearing rumors upon rumors of a Freddy Vs. Jason, such a movie was finally released when I was in my early 20's. At this point, I wasn't as into the genre as I once was. Barely at all, actually. Bu... Continue »

So how are you guys for long-ass reviews? I've been doing TNS one episode a week and am almost halfway through the series.
(introduction)
I was eight years old when Kolchak: The Night Stalker aired in 1974.ย Because it was Friday, I had permission to stay up an hour past bedtime - it played right after My Partner, the Ghost (aka Randall & Hopkirk, Deceased).ย It scared me plenty, andย I wouldn't miss an episode.ย Bits and pieces of it stayed with me all my life...scen... There, covered ya in the thread title.
(Intro and first episode)
Identified
In 1970 three people were killed during an encounter with an unidentified object. Evidence on a cinefilm they left behind was strong enough for authorities to justify an international effort to unveil the alien intruders, discover their objectives, and protect the Earth from their marauding. The name of this program is SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization), and it is unknown to... Continue »

Threw on this movie because it was right in front of me. I used to have a low opinion of it, but time has shown me the error of my ways. There are plenty of great tracks in there featuring Meatloaf, Dave Grohl, and Dio. That's right, Ronnie James Dio is in this movie. If that's not enough for you, go fuck yourself.
Here's my favorite track from the whole movie.

"I fucking LOVE this band!"

So here I am browsing for trash to watch for the challenge, and I see on youtube "Cannibal Holocaust 2". I turn it on and they keep talking about Catherine Miles, so I look it up... not the same Cannibal Holocaust 2 I was looking up. This one is actually "Amazonia: The Catherine Miles Story". Yeah, there's a bunch of Cannbal Holocaust Part 2's out there. A lot of Zombi sequels too, which I guess they did for marketing purposes only, to cash in on someone else's success.

As a true blue Aussie I've always loved American and European horror. Us Aussies, however, have churned out some gems over the years. I think our lack of funds has actually attributed to some original and outright creepy stuff.
Wake in Fright
An excellent novel adapted into film in 1971. The film itself was unavailable for many years until 2009 when it was digitially restored and made avaiilable on DVD/Blueray. I read the book in high school and had the privilege of finally seeing... Continue »

Any horror boarders that you miss, and wish would've joined the Trash Epics team? Cuz if they migrated elsewhere, we should totally stalk the fuck out of them, nome sane?
Personally, I'm thrilled at the turnout of horror boarders already. We got YAKKO over here. I fucking LOVE that guy! That's a feat in itself. I've been browsing some of the imdb spin-off boards and saw a few familiar names, so I thought I'd ask.

Let's talk about horror movies of 2016 with less than 5,000 votes on IMDb; https://www.imdb.com/search/title?at=0&genres=horror&sort=num_votes&title_type=feature&year=2016,2016&num_votes=0,5000&view=advanced . What are some your favorites?
I've seen only four movies:
- February 9.5/10
- The Eyes of My Mother 9.5/10 - It deserves more viewings, it's a classic!
- SiREN 7/10 - I think it's surprisingly great, fun movie! That "I like you." girl is always creepy, and she do... Continue »

... I have a friend around who I'm showing Trash Epics to & he just told me about this on youtube. Predates Deadpool, John Wick etc by a few years for the ultraviolent antihero stuff
Apparently funded mostly by Jane. Mostly. & Perlman did his bit for free as he's a fan of the comic

I have been watching this kind of a lot, lately. Any thoughts on it? I think it's one of the better remakes of recent(-ish) years.
For one thing Timothy Olyphant can do no wrong. I can't think of anything I've seen him in where I had any semblance of a problem with his performance. He plays a pretty cool character here, a sheriff who has faith in his fellow man to the point where it almost gets him killed, several times. But, the fact that he believes in others, and causes them to do t... Continue »

Once upon a time, in an era of Charles Manson-inspired Horror, there lived a gang of Satan-worshiping hippies. The Sons And Daughters Of Satan, they called themselves. S.A.D.O.S. thought they were pretty bad ass. A delusion maintained much easier with regular doses of LSD. As leader, we have one bastard of an Indian named Horace Bones, played to perfection by the the fabulous Bhaskar. He may be the most evil out of the group, an... Continue »

Do you have any sites that you just can't fucking stand? (Film ones?)
I have two:
Rotton Tomatoes after the Ghostbusters fiasco... hated the site anyway.
Bloody Disgusting - I fucking hate this site and all the bullshit news & the forum is a bag of shit as well (Better since they made a new forum and all the regs posts & "status" got deleted but fuck them!)
Bloody is so strange for me because it is the largest horror site & do get things first but it is a giant dick sucking contest..... Continue »

God in the flesh vs. Satan in the flesh.
This film is supposedly 3 unsuccessful films, revamped and shortened for an anthology format.
If you like films with an early decapitation, bizarre imagery with a giant dragonfly-like insect, and people melting to death in a chair, this film is for thee.
7/10 from me.
